I love it when an idea hits me like lightning. Ideas come to me in different ways. Like a bolt of lightning. Other times, they come when I’m sleeping, softly and lightly fluttering into my mind.
However it comes, I notice my body feels alive the moment it does. I feel my body humming with an exciting energy. I am such a doer that my first impulse is to jump on it right away.
Don’t Act On Your Ideas Immediately
The reason why I want to act on my ideas immediately is because I like to get into action mode. But it’s also because I’m driven by a fear. A fear that if I don’t do it now, then the opportunity won’t be there. I feel anxious and instead of taking action from a place of love, it comes from a place of fear.
Instead, take a different approach. Just sit with the idea that comes. Enjoy the feeling. Revel in the beauty of the idea. Smile. Relax.
Have a Notebook Handy or Store Notes in Your Phone
You never know when ideas will strike you. I keep a small notebook in my purse in case I am out. I can write it right away and look at it later. You may think you’ll remember the ideas later, but you won’t, so jot down notes! You can store notes in your phone, too.
Give Yourself Space for the Ideas to Come
The truth is ideas come when you are relaxed and living your life. When you’re too busy, your energy is not flowing freely. Your energy is being controlled. So if you want to take your life or business to the next level, the best thing you can do is take a breathe of fresh air. Live your life fully. Your creativity sparks then.
Let Your Ideas Marinade in Your Mind
As I mentioned earlier, let your ideas marinade for a while. Don’t act on them right away. They are part of a beautiful vision and puzzle. You don’t know all the pieces, but give it time, and they will fall into place magnificently. And at the exact moment, you will feel a pull from inside to act on your idea.
