When you watch Sex and The City, one thing will stand out. The lead characters, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda go through a gamut of experiences, but no matter what – they stick with each other through thick and thin.

I strongly believe it’s important to have at least one close girlfriend you can dial up anytime. My best friend lives a couple hours away, but I know I can depend on her for anything, anytime.

Stick Through Thick and Thin

Surround yourself with girlfriends who you can trust and lean on. Did you not have a great day? Did you get into a fight with your boyfriend? Or do you just want to have someone listen to you? Call up your close girlfriends!

Of course, if your friends are there for you, then you must also be there for them.

Have Your Own Inside Jokes

Another fun thing about having a close girlfriend is all the inside jokes! I have several jokes I share with my best friend and we crack up at the slightest mention of them. Sometimes, we’ll be at a party outside, just look at each other, and start giggling.

Be Each Others’ Cheerleaders

My favorite part would be being one another’s endless support and cheerleader. My best friend is in medical school following her dream to be a doctor, while I am working and following my dream to be a writer and creative individual. We support each other’s desires and dreams and never bring each other down.
