Making Mistakes
But your twenties are also filled with mistakes, like dating a jerk or jumping into something too fast without thinking. Maybe you had an outburst with your parents. Or you accepted a job and realized later it wasn’t for you. It’s natural to make mistakes during this time.
This is the Time!
This is the perfect time to make mistakes. Mistakes lead to personal growth. I’ve dated the wrong guy and taken the wrong job. It’s only later that I realized they weren’t for me and that I didn’t feel happy and fully present.
But you know what? They were stepping stones. They came into my life because they led me to the perfect guy and job.
Don’t Repeat Them
My clarity became sharper after these experiences. Now that I knew what I didn’t want in my life, I was able to value when something right did come into my life. I knew I would not take that person or event for granted.
Most of all though, it’s normal to make mistakes in your twenties. Your twenties are like a laboratory. But don’t make the same mistake twice. Learn from them and apply the new found wisdom to guide you and make the right decisions that truly make you happy.
