When you are pondering about a solution for a specific situation, you usually turn to your family and friends. It is also encouraged because they know you best. They also love you so they have your best interests at heart.
However, I wanted to share some insights when you decide to turn to your family and friends for advice. It’s a good idea to make a note of them.
Share with Them the Situation
Before they can give you their point of view, you must share the situation or problem clearly with them. What exactly are you looking to get a solution for? Why are you asking them for their advice?
Get Their Insights and Ask What They Would do in Your Place
Tell them you respect their opinion and want their unbiased feedback. Ask them what they would do if there were in this situation.
Be Careful in Not Getting Confused
Your family and friends love you, but one thing I have noticed when I have received advice is there is a difference of opinion among your family members and friends! It’s easy to get confused by many perspectives.
Finally, It’s Your Decision so Be Truthful to Yourself
Though you may get a whole set of differing opinions, realize that it is finally your decision. If you don’t agree with your loved one’s opinion, that’s alright. Be truthful to yourself and make your own decision that rings true to you.
