“I received a humongous box at work. It looked to be a Holiday present sent for our company. But I was extremely surprised to see the gift addressed to my name, as usually it’s sent to our company’s senior management. I called my colleague Padma over and we opened the box and were excited to see three wine bottles.

Anonymous Gifts and Kind Gestures!

At first thought, we thought our company had gifted it to our recruitment team which has 3 members. But then realized that was not the case. I looked at the label to see who had sent the wine bottles in my name. I frowned and searched through my emails, but the name didn’t register in any way.

For a week, my colleague and I were dumbfounded on who had sent us the wine bottles. I had thrown my hands up in the air and thought maybe someone accidentally sent them to me, but either way, thanked my lucky stars as it was a great way to start the year! And, later we figured out who had sent the wine: A vendor who I had worked with a while back!” – Priyanka

Kind Gestures

“I was walking through the lanes of a grocery store, dishing items from the shelves. Doing my grocery shopping for the week. Sometimes, I’d walk out with a heavy load of groceries, but no one would bother to ask me for help.

It’s not a big deal, it would just take longer for me to lug the groceries across the parking lot. But today, I stood on my tip toes trying to reach for a can of sauce, when an elderly man asked me for help.

It was a simple gesture, but going through the hectic days, driving through traffic, people honking if you take longer than a second and deadlines looming at work, this was a whiff of fresh air.

It’s like people have no patience anymore! But this man, he made me smile. And he did help me get that can of sauce that was out of my reach!”

Lovely Little Girl Living in the Present

 “I was driving to a friend’s party, but was running late. So I brought my makeup kit to my car and applied my makeup at red lights as I was driving to the destination.

As I applied my blush, lip gloss, and foundation, from the corner of my eye, I felt someone staring at me intently. You know that feeling you get that someone is staring at you, even though you can’t see the person, but can feel it intensely?

That was exactly what I was feeling. I turned my head and saw this cute little girl with her eyes enlarged and the rest of her face glued against the car window watching me in enamor.

I smiled and returned to applying my makeup before the red light changed into green. I could still feel this little girl watching me apply my makeup. I smiled again to myself.” – Priyanka
