Many people feel afraid to spend time with themselves. They need to constantly be surrounded by people. I’ve been the woman who has always enjoyed her space and time. I love being around my family and friends, but I have noticed I needed time immediately afterwards to retreat and unwind.
Over the years, I have realized the benefits I have received from taking the time to unwind and spending time with myself.
You Enjoy Your Own Company
You begin to realize you actually enjoy being with yourself. You may think: Wow, I’m a cool person! Why would anyone not want to hang out with me?
On a more serious note, you have fun with yourself. I go to the movies by myself sometimes. I love doing it! It started off with no one wanting to go with me. And then I thought why the heck don’t I watch the movie anyway…
You Are More in Touch with Yourself
When you’re alone, there is no noise or distractions. You become more connected to your inner self and guidance. You can tap into your magical wisdom to guide you in your life.
You Learn to Rely On Yourself
You also learn one of the most important lessons of life: to rely on yourself. To become self-sufficient.
You Become Your Source of Happiness
You learn to fill yourself up with the feelings you desire, instead of depending on someone or an external event or circumstance. You become your own source of happiness and peace.
