I work from home, so during my lunch time I turned on the television and flipped to the E Channel. I like catching up on gossip and listening to entertainment news. A news piece played on Real Housewife Teresa Giudice about heading to jail soon. Now please excuse my lack of knowledge in the pop world and the Real Housewives, but I was fascinated.
I Had No Idea Teresa from the Real Housewives Was…
Why was she going to jail? I Googled it. She and her husband were involved in mail fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud, and making false statements on loan applications.
Her husband and her are relatively well off and live a great lifestyle. So why would they feel compelled to commit these crimes?

The Danger of Relying Too Much on the External
The news had also played that apparently her children had mentioned they wanted very expensive brand name things for Christmas and were sad about their mother going to jail. While it was heart breaking her children wouldn’t have their mother, it also teaches a valuable lesson.
There is far too much emphasis placed on the external – from money, property, status, to image. When this starts to happen, no matter what you have is never enough. You start to developing a needy relationship with these things and if you don’t have them, you don’t feel happy.
I don’t know the exact motivation for Teresa and her husband to commit such crimes despite knowing they have children to look after, but it seems it’s time to focus on being more connected to our hearts and feel peace inside instead of relying on external measures.
